Inexplicable Weather

The weather for today, courtesy of BBC and weather.com
Current air temperature: 30 deg C.
Humidity 33% wind 10 km/h.
Outlook: Severe thunderstorms with hail.
It's not like this is a tropical paradise or anything. This is England, it's Wimbledon fortnight - it's supposed to rain. But noooo, we have a drought.
Now I've heard of covering all possible options, but isn't this just a bit much?
